Selected Sky Images Again Available on Brushed Aluminum

February 6, 2010

"A journey into the sky is a journey into one's soul. . ."

For Susan, the sky is a destination in and of itself, and not merely a backdrop for other beautiful landscapes.

Some of Susan's most popular images are once again available on brushed aluminum, 16 x 23.5 x 1 inches.

These are all High Dynamic Range images, giving a depth and range of color not available with most other techniques.

Description of Photographs on Brushed Aluminum from the lab:

Fine Art Metals are a modern approach to traditional Fine Art products. We start the printing process by adding a layer of white ink to the surface of 1”-deep brushed aluminum boxes. Your image is then printed on top of the white base coat. Fine Art Metals are delivered ready-to-hang with brackets on the back of the aluminum box. It is recommended that you do not use chemicals, cleaners, or abrasive cloths on this substrate.

Many people have commented that photographs printed on this substrate have the look of oil paintings.

Although I prefer to offer the skies on brushed aluminum, the skies in color are also available as prints on professional photographic paper, and the ones in black and white are available printed on Ilford Black and White paper. Please inquire for pricing of prints for the size(s) in which you may be interested.

To order, please view Skies on Brushed Aluminum.

Susan's 1x15 Images

Susan's two images for the 1x15 Project are now posted on a separate page. There is partial nudity.

Each image is for sale, matted and framed, at the Matrix through January 2010. After that time, they will be available here as prints.

Working with Stephanie Anne was great fun, and I thank Pat Berrett for inviting me to be part of this exciting project!

One Week Until The Opening of 1x15 Exhibition!

December 25, 2009

The opening reception will be at the Matrix Fine Art Gallery,

3812 Central Ave SE, Suite 100 A
Upper Nob Hill
Albuquerque, NM USA 87108

on Friday, January 1, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Early bird viewing starts December 29, and the show runs through January 30, 2010. This is Albuquerque's first Art show of 2010.

The show is beginning to get a little publicity. Expect more in the coming days.

For a sneak peek at some of the images in the show, click on any of the thumbnails for a slide show. Warning: contains some nudity.

I think you will be amazed at how differently the photographers have visualized the same model. I was.

I, and all of the photographers, hope you will be able to visit this exhibition during the month of January at the Matrix Fine Art Gallery.

Skies - It's All about the Light!

The skies of New Mexico are amazing all year around. Susan Brandt Graham, photographer, views skies as a destination in and of themselves, rather than merely a backdrop for other beautiful landscapes.
